It's my most favorite day of the year! Well, one of them. I do love March 2 (Piper's Birthday), and July 30 (Nash's) too. But October 26 holds a special place in my heart. Today marks 13 years of loving the same good man, and nine of sharing his last name. Cheers to today and [...]
We're big fans of sweet treats in our house. Big. HUGE (cue Julia Roberts). When we run errands, I can always count on Piper piping up and asking, "Mommy... are we getting a sweet treat?" And of course, the answer is always "yes" because life is short and dessert is SO good. Sweet treats above [...]
At the end of the day, after the kids have been fed three well-balanced meals (Jk, I'm feeding toddlers), 1.5 million snacks, bathed, entertained with toys and random household items (TV remote, empty milk jug, a box of ziplock bags, a grey marker, and one empty Amazon box) serenaded by the Frozen 2 playlist on [...]
Oh my word! Adele Cabanillas has done it again with her magical, bright and creative photography - capturing my tiny family in our little brick house in the most delightful way. My heart can hardly stand it. Funny (but mostly humbling and horribly embarrassing) story... while I was feverishly cleaning our home like a madwoman to [...]

We've entered into the homestretch of this pregnancy triathlon - and with 77 days left on the burner, I'm ready to award my husband with the Medal of Honor for the incessant foot rubs (can't even call them feet - they're summer sausages) and the erratic, constant food runs (Japanese, no...Olive Garden, no...chocolate milk). Not even Caitlyn [...]
Yard-work. You thought 'baby,' right? Wrong. In order to keep a human alive, one must be able to keep basic nature alive. So we're 557 days into marriage, and the life lessons are "killing it" - or rather, killing our grass. All of it. Our front yard is the size of an 10' x 8' rug (way [...]
During the season of engagement, marriage advice is a free-for-all. Welcome (and unwelcome) tips, ranging from child rearing and submission to the T.V. remote to pioneer women recipes, laundry counsel and the constant reminder to pick your battles (I will always battle for not leaving wet towels on the bed - end of story). Among the [...]
